How to connect a 4-channel amplifier?

Having decided to connect any electronics to your car, you should understand that this is a rather serious procedure that involves interference in the wiring of the car.

If you are not completely versed in electronicscar, it is better to seek help from specialists, since the connection of the amplifier is a procedure not so much complicated as requiring specific knowledge. However, if you are determined, let's figure out how to connect a 4-channel amplifier to a 2-channel radio.

Instructions for connecting the amplifier to the radio

Scheme of connecting a 4-channel amplifier to 2the radio tape recorder completely corresponds to the connection of a conventional amplifier to 2 channels. The only difference is the adapter or the Y-shaped cable, which must be purchased.

  1. Thick wires are connected directly to the amplifier. We extend the plus wire through the engine compartment and the car interior to the amplifier.
  2. We install the fuse on the wire in 20-30 cm from the battery, put the wire on the corrugated tube.
  3. To prevent the wire from rubbing, we use rubber stubs. We lay wires through the cabin, make sure that they are not damaged by moving mechanisms.
  4. Wire "-" is as thick as "+", which greatly simplifies its search. Connect the "-" to the amplifier terminal.
  5. From the linear input of the radio tape recorder we pull the inter-unit cable through which the signal will pass so that we can hear the music.
  6. To connect a 4-channel amplifier to thetwo-channel radio tape recorder, it is necessary to use adapters or cable-splitters (Y-shaped cables) with which 2 channels of the radio can be made 4 and connected.
  7. Connect the speaker wires and everything will be ready.
