How to connect TP-Link WR841N?
Wi-Fi-router not only allows to providehome PC with the Internet without pulling wires, but also gives the opportunity to distribute network access to all devices with Wi-Fi support in a fairly good radius. Taking into account the fact that every modern user owns a smartphone with Wi-Fi or even a smartphone and tablet, the routers are very much in demand lately. In this article, we will describe how to connect and configure one of the most popular due to its reliability and excellent price of routers - TP-Link TL-WR841N.
Connectivity
TP-Link TL-WR841N is equipped with six connectors:
- power connector;
- WAN connector for Internet connection;
- four LAN connectors for connecting the router to the computer.
To connect the router, the user must:
- Connect the router to the mains through the power connector.
- Connect an Internet cable to the WAN-connector connected to the apartment by the provider.
- Connect the LAN connector of the computer to the LAN connector of the modem using an Ethernet cable.
Network configuration
- Open any browser and drive into the address bar address - 192.168.1.1 (in some cases - 192.168.0.1).
- In the opened window we specify "User name" - admin, "Password" - admin.
- Before you open the interface setup router - open the "Network", then "WAN".
- Specify the type of the network "WAN Connection Type" - "Dynamic IP". Click "Save".
- Open the "MAC Clone" section and press the "Clone MAC Address" button. Click "Save".
Set up Wi-Fi
- Go to the "Wireless" section, enter the name of the Wi-Fi network in the "Wireless Network Name" field, and "Region" - Russia. Click "Save".
- Open the "Wireless Security" tab, tick the "WPA / WPA2-Personal" security type.
- In the "Version" field, specify "WPA2-PSK", "Encryption" - "TPK", "PSK Password" - set the password. Click "Save".
When you configure Wi-Fi, the cable from the LAN connectoryou can extract, now your computer and the router will be connected by "air". Also, you can now find this network using other devices that support Wi-Fi.
Reboot the system
To fix the settings, you must restart the router, go to "System Tools", then "Reboot" and click the "Reboot" button.
