Installing and configuring the TP-link modem
Before connecting the tp link modem to thecomputer, make sure that the bundled RJ-45 cord that connects the device to the network card of the computer. After finding the appropriate connectors (for the modem - on the rear panel, for the computer - on the rear panel, for the laptop - on the side panel) and for the physical connection, perform the following steps:
- Start the browser on the computer and in the address bar type the modem address: 192.168.1.1 by filling in the appeared window login and password with the standard word: admin;
- Go to the "Basic Setup" section and set the following settings: Virtual Circuit - PVCO, Status - Activated, VPI - 0, VCI - 40, Encapsulation - 2684 Bridged IP LLC. Save the changes made;
- The LAN Setting tab: The IP address is 192.168.1.1, the Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0.
In the Maintenance section, you can also change the login and password for your data. After that, the modem setup will be completed.
