Principles of laying parquet

Before laying a parquet, you must follow certain rules:

  • The base for laying should be as flat as possible (the difference is not more than 2 mm per 2 sq. m.), dry (maximum 5% moisture content) and clean;
  • The humidity in the room should not exceed 60%;
  • the level of humidity of the parquet should correspond to the room, for this, the parquet boards must be previously in this room for 6 days.

How to lay parquet in many ways

  1. According to the lags. Wooden logs are laid out on the floor according to the level, and then covered with waterproof plywood. In the backup space under the floor, you can place communication, heat and soundproof materials.
  2. On the plywood. Plywood used as a link between the parquet and the cement screed should be moisture resistant and have a thickness of at least 12 mm. Standard plywood sheet is sawn at least 4 parts, glued, leaving compensating clearances of 3-4 mm, and then fixed with screws. In case of detection of unevenness, the plywood is ground and ground.
