What is ideology?
The word "ideology" came into Russian fromGreek language and means in translation a prototype, some idea or teaching. If we talk about what an ideology is in the modern sense, then it implies an orderly system of knowledge and beliefs, it reflects the interests of the society as a whole, or its individual groups and classes, to the existing authorities and to each other.
Let's try to understand what ispolitical ideology. In fact, every state exists on the basis of an ideology. They can be very different. Ideology can include various scientific teachings and elements of science, but it can not be a science by itself. Ideology includes some assessment of socio-political phenomena and other forces. Each political ideology has a certain structure. In most cases, it consists of political theory, socio-political ideals, concepts of political development and political symbols. The following political ideologies are known in history: liberalism, anarchism, communism or Marxism, social democracy, fascism and Nazism, conservatism and some other less well-known and not widespread political ideologies.
Let's talk about what liberal ideology is. This is historically the first political ideology, it was born in the 18th century when a class of free property owners from nobles and clergy was formed. They are also called the bourgeoisie. These people were not enough of their own quite good financial situation, they were engaged in political activities. The main distinguishing feature on which the ideology of liberalism was based was the conviction that everyone has the right to freedom, whatever kind they are: spiritual, material, political. Freedom of the individual is the basic value of this ideology. The liberals believed that any restrictions in the economy lead to stagnation, especially if it is a monopoly. Opponents of liberalism argued that a person can not be absolutely free as long as it exists in society.
