How to cook a rabbit in an oven

You will need:

Rabbit in sour cream

You will need:

  • 1 kg of rabbit meat;
  • 200 g fatty sour cream;
  • 70 g of butter;
  • 330 ml of meat broth;
  • 2 tbsp. l. wheat flour;
  • 2 small onions;
  • 2 cloves garlic;
  • juice of half a lemon;
  • 2 bay leaves;
  • a dessert spoon of basil;
  • salt, pepper to taste.

Preparation:

  1. Carcass rabbit washing and cut into portions. Add salt, pepper, lemon juice and stir.
  2. Each piece of rabbit is rolled in flour and for 7-10 minutes. fry the meat in butter. Pieces should be covered with a delicious golden crust.
  3. We take the meat from the frying pan and transfer it to a saucepan or a scallop.
  4. While the rabbit is fried, finely chop the onion. We wait for the readiness of the meat and fry it in the same oil. Add the golden onion to the meat.
  5. Preheat the broth and pour the rabbit. We give it a boil, after which we reduce the heat and stew it for 50-60 minutes. During extinguishing, the liquid will evaporate. Therefore, do not forget to periodically check the dish and if necessary top up the water.
  6. Add spices and stew the meat for another 10-15 minutes.
  7. Turn off the fire and add sour cream and chopped garlic to the saucepan. We give the dish to stand for 10-15 minutes. Rest assured, you managed to cook the rabbit deliciously!
