And meanwhile such a fairy tale is done by force to everyone. For this you only need to have artistic taste and modeling skills and know how to make homemade mastic. We offer you two simple recipes for confectionery mastics.

Mastic from the "Marshmelow"

Mastic of marshmallow candy "Marshmelow" is consideredthe simplest. It is perfect for the first experience of making confectionery mastic. True, it is not so plastic to sculpt complex decorations from it.

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of powdered sugar;
  • 200 g of Marshmellow sweets;
  • 2 tbsp. l. lemon juice.

Preparation:

  1. Pour the sweets into a glass bowl or in any microwave cookware and add lemon juice to them.
  2. We set the maximum capacity of the oven and send candies to it for 20 seconds - during this time they should double in volume.
  3. We take out sweets and, pouring in them sugarpowder, start to knead mastic. First, we interfere with it in the dishes, and then we spread it on the table sprinkled with powdered sugar and put the mastic for 15 minutes, like a regular dough.

If you do not have a microwave oven, then the mastic can be cooked in a conventional oven on the smallest fire.

Gelatin mastic

It is more suitable for experienced confectioners, becausehow to make mastic for a cake at home under this recipe is more difficult. However gelatinous mastic turns out more plastic and pliable, and ornaments from it - more graceful.

Ingredients:

  • 10 g. Of gelatin;
  • 500 g of powdered sugar;
  • 50 g of water;
  • lemon juice.

Preparation:

  1. Pour gelatin with cold boiled water and leave to swell for 20 minutes. Then, in a water bath, heat it up, stirring, until it dissolves completely.
  2. We remove gelatin from a water bath and, continuing to stir constantly, in small portions we add in it sugar powder.
  3. We knead the mass to homogeneity and add 2-3 drops of lemon juice.
  4. Sprinkle the table with sugar powder, spread the mastic on it and knead it with your hands, like a regular dough, for 15 minutes.
  5. We divide the mastic into several parts and color it with food colorings.

If the mastic turned dry and crumbles, then it should be added lemon juice. If it, on the contrary, turned out to be sticky, then we mix sugar powder into it.
