Writing of coursework, abstracts and diplomas oncertain specialties are impossible without accompanying them with drawings. To ensure that such works meet all the requirements of GOSTs, their authors need to know how to properly draw a picture or an illustration.

Drawing Drawing

According to GOST, all figures included in the text, should be accompanied by references. It is very important to post pictures immediately after the paragraphs with their mention or directly on the next page, numbering them with Arabic numerals. Both end-to-end numbering and numbering within one chapter or section are acceptable: in the second case the figure should be called "Figure 1.1.", Where the first number is the section number, and the second is the sequence number of the illustration. Such a signature should be immediately below the drawing in the center of the line, with the word "drawing" always written in full.

Sometimes how to draw a drawing depends on thefrom the educational institution: if the GOST allows for the absence of names, then in most universities they are required (for example, "Figure 3 - Drawing warehouse"). It is very important not to put a dot at the end of the title.

In the event that your work hasapplications, their drawings must be designated by a separate numbering. In this case, the numbering should be performed in Arabic numerals, and before it you need to add an application designation (for example, "Figure B.5").

Drawing drawings according to these requirementsmay seem difficult at first glance. But in fact, it is not more difficult than drawing up the usual picture with your own hands, described in the article How to make a picture.
