The word "apparently" is separated by commas,if in the sense in the sentence it acts as an introductory word. In this case, the word "apparently" refers to that group of introductory words that express a certain fraction of the probability of what is happening. That is, if the meaning of "apparently" in the sentence can be equated to the meaning of the words "probably", "most likely", "should be", then it is selected by commas, regardless of where it is in the sentence: at the beginning, in the middle or in end.

  • "Apparently, today he decided not to go";
  • "Today he seems to have changed his mind";
  • "Today he changed his mind, apparently."

When "seen" is in the sentence an adverb,it does not stand out by commas. Adverb of the meaning can be equated to the meaning "explicitly", "obviously": "Papa's apparently was in the spirit" (A. Fet). This meaning is typical for literary speech and in modern speech almost does not occur.
