How to connect acoustics?
Watch the video
To enhance the impression of a computervideo game or watching a movie with surround sound, you can connect acoustics 5.1 to your computer. The acoustic system consists of six audio channels that transmit the audio signal.
The heart of the system is a subwoofer. The remaining links of the system are two front and two rear speakers, as well as a center speaker.
How to connect an audio system
What you need to connect
- Acoustic system 5.1;
- sound card 5.1;
- wire Jack 3.5 mm ("bells" of red and white colors) - 3 pieces.
Wires should be included in the acoustics. Otherwise, you need to buy them in a specialized store.
Wire connection
- Turn off the computer from the network and disconnect all wires from the back of the system unit (if necessary, remember or write down the location of the cables).
- Place the system unit on a flat surface and unscrew the screws from the back cover to access the sound card.
- Connect the two "bells" to the front speakers and connect the other end of the cord to the green card slot of the sound card.
- Connect the second wire to the rear speakers and connect the other end to the black jack on the sound card.
- And, finally, connect the third cable with the subwoofer and the center speaker and connect the wire to the orange card slot.
- Close the system unit with the cover and screw the bolts back into place.
- Reconnect all wires and plug the computer into a network.
- Press the power button and wait for the operating system to fully boot.
- Press the power button on the amplifier.
For the surround effect, pair "bells" are required to be inserted into the Audio Input 5.1 section on the sound card.
Sound settings
- Go to the "Start" menu on your computer and go to "Control Panel".
- Select the "Hardware and Sound" tab and click on the "Speakers" item.
- Then click the "Configure" button.
- Select "5.1 Surround Sound" and click "Apply".
How to connect acoustics through S / PDIF
To connect the speaker system to the datamethod requires an S / PDIF cable, which is optical and coaxial. The cable is connected to the subwoofer of the system, the remaining speakers are connected through the usual white-red "bells".
This wire is used for distributionsound between the components of the audio equipment. At the same time, audio audio is transmitted without conversion to an analog signal, which makes the sound more qualitative.
The coaxial cable is connectedthrough the RCA connector. Optical type of cable is connected via a TOSLINK type connector (for example, a common connector for modern laptops). To connect acoustics in this way, the system must have an S / PDIF connector.
Connecting equipment and adjusting sound
- Turn off the computer from the network and disconnect all wires from the back of the system unit (if necessary, remember or write down the location of the cables).
- Place the system unit on a flat surface and unscrew the screws from the back cover to access the sound card.
- Connect the selected cable type to the digital output of the sound card.
- Connect the other end of the wire through the corresponding connector of the amplifier.
- Connect the two "bells" to the front speakers and connect the other end of the cord to the green card slot of the sound card.
- Connect the next wire to the rear speakers and connect the other end to the black jack on the sound card.
- Connect the last cable to the center speaker and connect the wire to the orange card slot.
- Close the system unit with the cover and screw the bolts back into place.
- Reconnect all wires and plug the computer into a network.
- Press the power button and wait for the operating system to fully boot.
- Go to the sound card settings and select the use of the digital port.
- If necessary, select the analog outputs that are used to connect the speakers.
- Press the power button on the amplifier.
- Adjust the sound according to the above diagram.
