How to connect the oil pressure sensor is one of the most common questions that beginner motorists have. Consider how to do this.

Buying a T-piece

  1. The first thing after buying an oil pressure sensorit is necessary to understand that to connect it you need a device to which it must be connected. The ideal option is to purchase a tri-barrel or as it is called - a tee.
  2. After that, you must select the location for the sensor installation. If the device does not fit into the chosen niche (for example, its diameter is slightly larger), then we remove the edging and process its edges.

Installation

  1. Using the necessary tools, open the hood of the car.
  2. We find and twist the instrument showing the control oil pressure. As a rule, a sulfur-gray wire is attached to it.
  3. On the vacant seat we install a tri-barrel.
  4. And already to it we connect the purchased oil pressure sensor and previously unscrewed device.
  5. After that, we start the car.
  6. Make sure that everything is done correctly.
  7. Turn off the car, and already connect the sensor to the black and gray wire, which was previously connected to the device showing the control oil pressure.
  8. Then the other end of the wire is held in the car salon.
  9. We insert the terminal into the shoe in such a way that it has a gray wire in front of it.
  10. We open the safety block and from it pull the orange wire to the sensor and install the terminal in the shoe in front of it.
  11. Next comes the turn of the wire feeding the parking lights. As a rule, it is white.
  12. Take it and wire black and ground them.
  13. After all is established, we start the car and we check up working capacity of the gauge.
  14. If everything functions normally, then pull all the wires to the sensor attachment point, clamp all the clamps and remove the excess.
