How to hide a drive in Windows?

To protect information on the computer from the eyes of foreign users, you can hide it.

For example, it's easy to learn how to hide a disk in Windows. As a result of simple manipulations, you can make sure that one or all hard disks are not displayed in the "My Computer" menu.

How to hide a drive in Windows: Instruction

To start, you should download a small Tweak UI program, for example, from a torrent.

1. After downloading, install and run it.
2. When the application is started, the menu on the left requiresclick "My Computer" and select "Drives" in the list that opens. The right window displays all the disks that are visible when you enter My Computer.
3. Near each of the disc names there is a "tick": the disk that needs to be hidden must be left without it. After that, you should confirm your command and click the "OK" button.

After the performed actions, the selected disk will not be displayed, but it will be accessible if its address is entered in the address bar.
