Trey (or system tray) is a placementshortcut icons, or the notification area in the taskbar in the lower right corner of the screen. Here are icons of programs that run automatically and work in the background. How to minimize to tray? There are a number of programs that place their icon in the tray at the time of startup. But sometimes you want to minimize the window of a program in the tray to organize the icons on the taskbar or just have all the active programs at hand (in the tray). To do this, there are various utilities: nnCron, TrayIT, RBtray and others. To understand how to minimize a program into a tray, consider some of these special programs.

  • Tray It! - indicate which application should be placed in the tray, and the work is done. A new button will appear in the upper right corner of the program window, next to the "minimize", "expand", "close" buttons.
  • Move To Tray is an easy utility that does not require eithersettings or installation. Download it, run it and immediately see its icon in the system tray. The program can minimize any active program in the tray using the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + M. In the tray, the minimized program has its usual icon, and to open it again, just double-click on the desired tray icon.

There are many options - choose the right one for yourself!
