The island of Bali is not very big. Its territory is only 5600 km2. However, there are much more sightseeing tours here than in the whole of Indonesia. The main objects visited by tourists are temples, volcanoes, various parks with birds and animals, botanical gardens. Let's consider some of them in more detail.
Attractions Bali
In Bali, there are about two thousand temples. A characteristic feature of all Indonesian temples is the presence of a large number of ornaments carved from stone in the form of various trees and all kinds of flowers. Temples were erected everywhere: in courtyards, cemeteries and markets, rice paddies and river banks. Small palaces can be found even in the most frequent jungle. According to the beliefs of the Balinese, it is believed that the sacred temples help to prevent disasters, and keep those who live with them nearby.
Bali temples are island, ordinary andspecial and are intended for people of different classes and social groups. One of the most important temples is considered to be the temple of the "Mother of Bali" - Pura Besakikh. Built it over a thousand years ago. There is a temple on the slope of Mount Gunung Agung, on which all the gods of the island live according to local beliefs. This temple is the most famous on the island. Its complex consists of 7 terraces, on which there are more than 30 different temples.

The park is nothing but a rainforest, on the territory of which there are aviaries, which are almost invisible and several hectares of gardens. There are about 250 species of different birds. Visiting the park will allow you to come in contact with the natural world in close proximity and watch the birds. During the walk you can see Balinese starlings, Australian cockatoo and many other exotic representatives of birds. In the neighborhood there is a reptile park, where you can watch the dragon "Komodo" - the only surviving descendant of dinosaurs. Also in a wide variety there are all kinds of lizards, crocodiles and snakes. In the park there is also a restaurant and a shop with sevens.
"Monkey Forest"
Not far from the village of Sangekh is the ForestMonkeys, which is located on a square that covers almost 6 hectares. In the park you will see a lot of primates of various species that live on giant nutmeg trees (the height of the trees often reaches forty meters) and on the territory of the Puri Bukit temple, which is located in the central part of the forest. The monkeys greet guests with joy. And they are waiting for them to be treated with dried fruit and nuts, which are sold here by enterprising locals. In the neighborhood there is a crocodile cattery. Here you can find about 300 species of reptiles of various species from different parts of Indonesia.
Elephant Park
In the cool jungles of the village of Taro, nearThe village of Ubud is located "Elephant Park". Here you can watch the animals in their habitat. See how elephants take water treatments, how to lazily sunbathe in the sun, or walk through the jungle. In the park you can even feed the animals with your hands. Kinatamani volcano
This volcano is interesting because it has a doublecrater. The last three eruptions were in 1927, 1929 and 1947. On the site of one of the craters after several strong eruptions, Lake "Batur" was formed, which is considered to be the largest lake in Bali. Its depth does not change during the year (regardless of the dry season or rainy season). There are also hot springs in this area.
