First of all, connect the power supply to the roundthe power connector on the router, and plug in the outlet to turn on the device. Now connect the cable of your Internet provider to the WAN port on the router, and the network cable to one of the LAN ports, connected to the computer at the other end.

Then, on your computer, open the web browser andenter the address http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. A window appears prompting you to enter your login and password. By default, the admin login and password 1234 are used. After entering, you will immediately be prompted to change the default password to your own - always do this for security reasons.

With ZyXEL Keenetic Lite you can connectto the Internet in many ways, but consider one of the most common options - connection with manual configuration of IP parameters, when from your ISP you get an external IP address, network mask, gateway address and DNS address.

If your router has V1 firmware, goto the "Internet> Connection" section. In the "IP settings" menu, select "Manual", enter your external IP, network mask, gateway address and DNS addresses. Click the Apply button.

But, perhaps, before applying the settings to youyou should also enter a special MAC address if you originally connected to the provider directly through the computer and thus registered the address of the network card of the PC. Then in the field "Use MAC address" select the option "From computer" to copy its MAC. And if you need to use a very special MAC address, select the "Install" option and enter the address manually. After that, click the "Apply" button.

If the router has V2 firmware, setup a littleis different. Click on the globe at the bottom of the page to access the "Internet" menu, and select the "IPoE" tab there. Then click the "ISP - Broadband connection" link. A window will appear in which you need to check the "Enable" and "Use to log on to the Internet" checkboxes. Then select "Manual" in the "IP settings" menu and fill in the required fields exactly as we explained above. When you are finished, click the Apply button.
