How to connect the printer to the router?

Many routers are equipped with USB-ports, to whichyou can connect a variety of peripherals - external drives or printers. Connecting the printer to the router

So, first you need to connect the printer to therouter. Simply connect it with a cable to the USB port, and then turn on both the router and the printer. Go to the settings of the router through the browser - usually it is done at 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, but you can find out more precisely in the instructions to your particular model.

Some routers set the required settingsthemselves. In others, for example, in ZyXEL Keenetic with NDMS V2 firmware, you will have to go to the "Applications - MS Windows Network" section and select the "Enable" and "Allow access without authorization" checkboxes.

To access the printer in Windows,Open Explorer and enter the address of your router in the address bar. If everything works out, you will see your printer in the window. If not - perhaps you need to add it manually through the Control Panel, the "Hardware and Sound> Devices and Printers" section.
