Mail.ru is one of the best e-mail services that allows you to bind a mobile phone number to a box. This operation is carried out here as follows:

1. go to the project page;
2. we perform authorization;
3. click on the "Settings" link (upper right corner);
4. choose the item "Personal data";
5. press the button "+ Add phone";
6. in a new window choose the country of residence and enter your phone number in the international format;
7. we press the button "Add";
8. in a new window, enter the confirmation code (the system sends it to the specified number);
9. press the "Finish" button;
10. we press the button "Save".

Now this phone number will be used to restore access to the mailbox. Setting the same SMS notifications about the incoming mail is done like this:

1. select the item "SMS-notification";
2. put the marker (point) on the item "ON";
3. we press the button "Save".

You can also configure the filter (rules). This can be the restriction of sending SMS at night, their frequency and / or list of folders about new letters in which notifications will be sent.
