More recently, our life included 3GModems that allow you to connect to the worldwide network via cellular. Outwardly, such a device looks like an ordinary USB flash drive, into which you can insert a SIM card.

Problems with how to use the 3G modem, as a rule, does not arise. We offer a brief description of work with such a device:

• Before using the modem, you need toopen the case of the modem and neatly insert the sim card of the mobile operator into it. It does not have to be a card from your phone. It is better to buy a card specifically for the modem. As in the phone, the card is inserted down by the contacts.
• Remove the side cap and insert the modem connector into the USB connector on the computer. The connector must fit tightly into the connection. You can connect the modem, both with the computer turned off and with the computer turned on.
• After connecting the modem, the operating systemshe will find new equipment and begin installation. Next, you just need to follow the prompts of the system until the modem is fully installed. If the hardware installation does not start, check if the modem is firmly inserted, then go to "Control Panel" and "Install New Hardware". On Mac OS, the installation of the modem takes place in the same way.
• When the installation is complete, on the desktopa shortcut to the Mobile Internet program should appear, with which you can manage your connection rate and go online. Payment for the Internet is made by replenishing the account of the SIM card used in the modem.
• Talking about how to use the USB modem, it should be mentioned that to safely disconnect the USB modem from the computer, it is necessary to close its software.
