In this case, she was more than touching: the 25-year-old Jackie Goncher, paralyzed below the neck from age 17, surprised the guests by getting up from the wheelchair and walking alone to the altar. When Jackie was 17 years old, while swimmingan accident occurred and the girl suffered a serious spinal injury. She was paralyzed below the neck, and the doctors said that she could never walk again. She surpassed the expectations of specialists when she could stand only six months after the incident. However, during the next eight years, Jackie mostly moved in a wheelchair.

The first years of therapy were very hard for Jackie. Being a sportswoman all her life, she was very upset because she could not perform even the simplest exercises.

"The first time I decided to return to the gym, I sat on the exercise bike. My legs could not pedal fast enough, and the simulator turned off, "Jackie recalls.

"I was so upset that I laid my head on the simulator and cried."

It took her a long time to find strength and determination to return to the gym.

"On the day of the wedding, everyone looks at you, so youwant to feel most beautiful. I'm absolutely sure that you can be a dazzling beauty in a wheelchair, but I did not want this to determine me, "says Jackie.

When Jackie appeared at the celebration with her mother on one side and grandfather on the other, no one was surprised to see her in a wheelchair.

But soon all the guests were stunned when she got up and began to walk to the altar eight years after the accident.

Although the groom, Andy Goncher, knew in advance about this surprise, he could not hold back his tears.

It was such a touching moment that almost all cried.

Just a year ago, Jackie could not stand on her feet for more than 30 minutes because of low blood pressure.

Now she could stand all 45 minutes of the ceremony and most of the five hours, while the reception of the guests lasted.

The couple had a real first dance, because before that they never danced.

Jackie relied on her husband during the wedding. "He was my cane, because I kept to it all the time."
