What do the most peaceful borders look like between countries?
Global recent conflictsforce the authorities of many states to reconsider their views on the arrangement of borders. However, photographer Valerio Vincenzo of the Netherlands, as part of his project called Borderline, Frontiers of Peace, shows a more inspiring side to the lack of lines of division between countries.
His series of photographs is devoted to radicalThe changes that occurred in Europe after the signing of the Schengen agreement. This treaty allowed to erase the borders between the participating states and symbolized a giant step towards the gradual unification of Europe.
Armed with GPS and detailed maps, Vincenzotraveled through these erased boundaries, creating images that visually demonstrate the essence of these "now peaceful cordons" and destroy the stereotyped idea of what the border looks like.
