How to make forests?
Watch the video
Forests are used during construction and repairobjects. You can make them yourself. But it is important to follow the sequence of actions and prepare in advance all the necessary materials, as well as tools. About how to make woods with their own hands from the tree and what is required for this, is told further.
Necessary materials and tools
First of all, it is necessary to prepare the wood. Bearing supports should be made from a beam, the size of which is 10x10 cm. Horizontal flooring is created from boards with a size of 55 mm, and stiffeners - from 25 mm. The wood itself should not have cracks or knots. It is desirable to treat it with special compositions that prevent decay.
You will also need the following materials and tools:
- self-tapping screws of different lengths;
- nails;
- saw;
- plane;
- hacksaw;
- drill;
- a hammer;
- screwdriver;
- roulette;
- color marker;
- building level.
Creating a scaffolding with your own hands
Before making scaffolding,it is necessary to determine their size. The minimum permissible width of such structures should be at least 50 cm. Their length can start from 2 meters. Doing scaffolding more than 6 meters is not recommended, since there is a high risk of overturning during operation.
The sequence of work on the construction of such structures is as follows:
- Make a framework. Take two bars of the necessary length and lay on a flat horizontal surface. The distance between them should make up the planned length of the forest. Then take two more of the same bars and also just arrange it side by side. At the same time, the upper part of the beams must converge slightly to make a stable construction. For example, for forests with a height of 4 m, a convergence of 40-50 cm will suffice, that is, the distance between the main beams should be 4 m below, while at the top - 3.5-3.6 m.
- Screw to the support beams the first sidewall ofbeams. Use self-tapping screws for this. After that, you need to fix a few more sidewalls so that the finished woods have several "floors", but not more than three. But note that the lowest sidewall, which should be at a distance of 20 cm from the ground is not included in this account, because it is used only to give strength to the structure.
- Now it is required to connect the side trapezoids. This requires the use of crossbars of different lengths. After all, the woods will be stable if they are pyramidal in width and length. Install the wooden sidewalls vertically, slightly tilting them to each other. Fasten them with nails and long self-tapping screws.
- Fix to the cross bars the boards forflooring. After that it is necessary to create from the remaining bars on each "floor" fences. Then, from the sides of the woods, fill additional cross-members. They will act as stairs.
Please note that doing scaffoldingit is necessary not alone, but with helpers. After all, such work is time-consuming. Be sure to use the building level in the course of work to be sure of the proportionality of the structure being created. In order for it to have exact dimensions, be sure to pre-mark it on the bars with a marker, after having obliterated everything with a tape measure.
You can also make scaffolding from othermaterials. For example, iron pipes of different cross-sections. But note that in this case it will be necessary to use welding to connect the structures, and the process itself will be much more difficult due to the significant weight of the pipes.
