Technology of laying pavers

Preparation of the square. Before laying paving stones, it is necessary to create a basic foundation. This stage is of great importance, since the future work depends on its reliability. Here you need some of the garden tools in order to do the following: clean the soil, from weed, stones, debris and other foreign objects. Dig a moat depth of 20 centimeters throughout the construction site. If the soil is bad, then the depth should be increased. If the pavement is adjacent to the building - you need to tilt in its direction for drainage. The slope is done in the calculation of 1cm by 10 m. On the formed portion of the earth, tamp the soil as tightly as possible. If the base is not solid enough, the pavement will turn out uneven.
Make the cushion layer. As a cushioning layer, sand can be used, grains of which have a module of 1.5 mm or gravel with a fraction of 20-40 mm. Gravel is used in the case when on a poor-quality soil a trench of more than 20 centimeters is excavated, in our case it is better to use sand. Sand should be spread evenly throughout the base base. Then compact and level the layer using two 1-inch PVC pipes. Place them at a distance of 1 meter from each other, to make it look like rails. The remaining sand should be covered in the level of the pipes and aligned with it. Now we compact the base base with a vibrating machine. If after the "vibrations" pits are left, they must be additionally covered with sand and once again shovel.
Laying of cement-sand mixture. After the base is ready - it's time to start creating a cement-sand mixture. Mix the ingredients in the proportions 1: 6 (cement to sand) and lay the mixture on the base with a layer of about 40 mm, then align and walk along it with a vibrating machine.
Laying pavers. Laying the plates with their own hands is necessary according to the paving scheme for the previously planned pattern. When stacking, make sure that the base is as flat and dense as possible. After laying the tiles must be well pressed hands to the surface of the base. Align and compact it with a rubber kyanki. In case of displacement, it is necessary to raise the tile, then leveling the base under it, lay back. The recommended interval between tiles should be of the order of a couple of millimeters. This will help you use crosses. Each subsequent tile laying on the level, relative to the previous one. At the end of the installation, pour the entire surface of the sand and mark it in the gaps. In the future, you should also periodically fill in the seams with sand, this will help not break the integrity of the sidewalk, which, in any case, is washed out with water in bad weather.

How to make the pavement smooth, if after layingSome inaccuracies were found at the edges of the sidewalk: carefully measuring off and noting this inaccuracy on the tile, trim it. At the end of laying the slabs, scatter the sand on the surface and mark it with a view to clear the gaps.
