Urine is formed in the kidneys, which are known to be a filter of the body, removing all bad blood (microbes, toxic substances, etc.) from the blood.

If urine acquires an unhealthy shade or becomes very little, it is a signal to pay close attention to the work of the excretory system.

The amount of urine: the norm and the deviations from it

On average, a person should allocate a day about1.5-2 liters of urine. Of course, in each individual case this indicator will vary. In particular, very much will depend on how much liquid a person drinks.

Why does a person pee a little? The reasons can be the following:

  • A person drinks a little liquids. Daily need to drink at least 1-1,5, and for some and 2 liters of water.
  • The person is sweating intensely. For example, this situation can occur in hot weather.

If the deviations from the norm are not too significant,then just try to drink more and try to exclude factors that provoke copious sweating (for example, do not drink hot tea in the summer, on particularly hot days stay in a cool place, wear lightweight "breathing" clothing, etc.)

In addition to the more or less innocuous reasons that we listed above, there are also various diseases that cause urine deficiency or its overabundance:

  • kidney failure;
  • pathology of kidney vessels;
  • blood diseases;
  • acute pyelonephritis;
  • embolism of the veins of the kidneys;
  • glomerulonephritis and so on.

Therefore, if the amount of urine is significantlyless / more (oliguria / polyuria) of the amount of liquid drunk per day (especially if less than 500-200 ml of urine per day is allocated), then you need to see a doctor urgently. There are also situations when urine does not go away at all (anuria) - this is an even more serious case of the disease, requiring immediate medical attention.

Color and clarity of urine

In parallel, you need to follow and external indicators of urine - they will also be able to talk about the problems that have arisen in the body.

  • The level of transparency is easy to check: type the urine in the jar and look through the liquid for some text. If you can read it, the transparency is normal, if not, then it's better to see a doctor.
  • A pink shade of urine may indicate kidney disease, but it can also appear after eating beets / raspberries / blackberries and their meals, or if a woman has a period.
  • An orange / brownish tinge appears,for example, due to increased urine concentration. It occurs with oliguria. Such a shade can also give food colorings, beets, carrots and the berries mentioned above, beans. Finally, orange shade can give medicines, for example, antibiotics. If urine has a brownish tinge, and the stool is light, then it is possible to assume a violation in the work of the liver.
  • The color of meat slops in urine occurs whenglomerulonephritis, cancer pathologies. If the urine has only once acquired such a color, then it is necessary to consult a doctor so as not to miss a serious illness.
  • A greenish-blue hue is found, but very rarely. It occurs when metabolic disorders, infectious diseases.

Prophylaxis of kidney disease

The most effective and simple way to avoidmany kidney diseases - is to drink at least 1.5-2 liters of ordinary pure still water a day. It is simple water, not tea, coffee, juice, compotes and so on.

Also, once a 6-12 month, drink a course of drugs that support the work of the kidneys, having a natural composition. But on this issue it is still first to consult a doctor.

Finally, it is important to monitor the kidneys (go to the urologist, take tests, do ultrasound), if you drink a lot of drugs (all of them are excreted through the kidneys), often infectious diseases.
