What is a compliment?

Russian word compliment comes fromFrench compliment and literally means praise, approval, a way of expressing respect for a person. The compliment, as a rule, is dressed in the form of flattering, pleasant words, often accompanied by exclamations or heightened emotionality, for example - "How beautiful you are today!", "What wonderful tricks you have!"

When we say compliments

Compliment is a very simple, but a sure wayestablishing communication with a person. The occasion for a compliment can serve as a different situation, but in all cases, from the receipt of a compliment, the recipient feels self-satisfaction and self-esteem rises.
