What is a policy?
The word "policy" has two completely different meanings. Let us consider in more detail what a policy is.
In Greek, the polis means "city","state". So in ancient Greece called the form of socio-political organization of society. The policy is a city-state together with adjacent neighborhoods, in which each full member had his own land and enjoyed all privileges on an equal basis with the rest. In addition to full-fledged citizens, there were people in polices who did not have land and no rights-slaves, freedmen, and so on.
The second meaning of the word "policy" is a document thatconfirms the conclusion of the insurance contract and is issued by the insurer to the insured person. Usually, a policy is issued after the insured person makes a monetary contribution to the insurance company. The policy contains an indication of the insurance object, the amount of the insurance amount, a detailed explanation of insurance risks, the size and timing of insurance premiums.
The main types of policies are life insurance,health, cargo, property and so on. There are typical policies approved by the government, the most famous of them is the policy of compulsory medical insurance.
