What is anthropology?
The concept of anthropology is a combination of two terms: 1 - "man", 2 - "science". Accordingly, this is the combined scientific knowledge of man.
IN USSR
For a long time anthropology was considered an anthropology in the USSRabout the emergence - and then - the evolutionary development of man. Actually, physical anthropology is also engaged in this. While in the US and European countries this concept is perceived much broader, more generalized.
Evolution of the term
What is anthropology in the conventional sense? Aristotle in Ancient Greece for the first time used this term in order to denote the sciences that deal with the spirituality of man. Subsequently, it was used by many well-known philosophers and was formed in the twentieth century as a "philosophical anthropology." This concept is also used in related sciences, for example, in theology, pedagogy. There is a tendency to complicate and differentiate the concept itself.
Philosophical Anthropology
He considers the individual in the being plane. This is the doctrine of the human essence. The person here is the main subject of study. And religious anthropology sees a person on the theological plane through the prism of religious teaching.
Physical anthropology
Looks at a person as a biological species,is engaged in its origin and evolution, comparing with the nearest fossils and modern relatives - primates. It includes paleoanthropology and forensic anthropology.
Social anthropology
He considers human society, its origin, evolutionary development.
