Antagonism. This word came in Russian from the Greek language and in translation means: antagonisma - dispute - struggle.
What is antagonism? This word has several meanings:
- this is a contradiction, a clash of views, positions,points of view, and irreconcilable, completely without points of contact. Antagonism always leads to conflict, often armed. For example, the antagonism of the views of the workers and the bourgeoisie in Russia in the early 20th century.
- Antagonism is also struggle, clash, competition. In this sense the word is used: in biology (antagonism of microorganisms) and in sociology (antagonism between monopolies in the market)
