The Red Sea is often called the Arabian Gulf and it is part of the Indian Ocean. Where is the Red Sea?

If you look at the globe, you can see that itdivides Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. The Red Sea from the north washes the Suez Isthmus, where people have dug the Suez Canal through which the Red Sea connects with the Mediterranean. From the south, the sea borders the Arabian Sea through the strait, called Bab el Mandeb.

On the shores of the Red Sea there are eightstates - on the African coast of Egypt, Eritrea, Sudan and Djibouti, on the Arabian Peninsula the Red Sea washes the territories of Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Yemen.

This sea has no rivers flowing into it, as a result of which its waters are distinguished by exceptional transparency.
