The computer is no longer a gimmick, even a laptop andthe tablet is now not a rare phenomenon in society. Each owner of such equipment and even the most average phones faces the concept of "folder" in the OS of their device.

So, what is a folder and what is it for? A folder is an analog of an ordinary folder, which is designed to collect and store documents, files and similar folders in the OS. Thus, within one folder, tens and hundreds of subfolders with different names in Cyrillic or Latin can be stored and contained. Visually, a semblance of a tree of folders that are related to each other is obtained. Folders and subfolders in the path (the location of a folder and the way to find it) are separated by a "" sign. For example, D: My photo2013 year photo in University.

Folders are divided into createdautomatically, and such that the user can, if desired and need to create himself. You can create it yourself by right-clicking on the empty space, select "Create" in the expanded menu, and select "Folder" from the list.

There is also the concept of the root folder, whichdoes not have a specific name, but the root folder of this or that disk is marked with a "" sign. For example: drive C: or drive D: etc. The root folder is available on any disk, and all other folders are stored in it.
