The concept of "work" has many interpretations. First of all, this term means mechanical work, but there are also many other scientific concepts. So, for example, one can single out work in thermodynamics, electric circuits, where, by another, it is also called power. There are also concepts of kinetic and potential energy. All these physical quantities are a quantitative scalar measure of the strength of the action. It depends on a certain numerical value, the displacement of the point of the system or body and the direction of the force.

Will we find out what is measured in the work? In the international SI system, the unit of measurement of work is considered to be Joule. In one Joule there is 1 kg · m² / s² or 1 Н · м, where Н - Newtons. However, no less popular in the GHS (a system of the centimeter-gram-second type) is the measurement of work in ergs. In this case, 1 ERG is equal to 1 g · cm2/from2 or 10-7 J.
