Why are the rains?

Autumn - it's time, of course, dull. Bright and sunny days are increasingly replaced by a long, monotonous and tedious rain. Outside the window is gloomy and uncomfortable. The sky is covered with clouds, like a huge gray veil. Even a small child knows that from these most "evil" clouds and it rains. But why are the rains, and where do the clouds come from?

These are underground waters and even whole underground rivers and lakes. Water is everywhere. In the air, in the earth, in each of us, in plants and animals and even in stones, even though they are lifeless.

What happens to all this water? From the textbooks we know that water does not always remain liquid. It can be both solid (ice) and in the form of gas (vapor). To imagine what happens in the world with water, look at the usual puddle after the rain. When the Sun begins to warm up, the water from this puddle evaporates, that is, turns into small particles of steam and rises high into the atmosphere, into the sky. There are a lot of these particles, because the water evaporates not only from our puddle, but also from the surface of oceans, rivers, seas, lakes - from everywhere.

At high altitude it is very cold, manyThe droplets merge together and form large clusters. We see them from the ground like clouds. Even higher these particles freeze and turn into ice cubes. Gathered together, these particles form clouds. It turns out that the earth is warm air, and from the atmosphere - cold. When the clouds become very large, the ice cubes begin their journey back to earth. Approaching it closer, they melt, and it's raining. And if the earth is too cold, for example, in the winter, they do not have time to melt. Therefore, in winter we rejoice in the snow! Hail - these are the same pieces of frozen evaporated water, returned back, but not had time to turn into water.

This is called the water cycle! That's why rains are on our planet. Therefore, we should rejoice in the autumn rain and winter snow. Every puddle is useful to someone. After all, water is the source of all life on Earth!
