How do I remove the steering wheel?

Often, it may be necessary to repair the steering wheel with its complete dismantling. You can remove the steering wheel and steering wheel with your own hands. To do this, follow the instructions below.

Before removing the steering wheel, you need to prepare the following tools: a socket wrench, a flat screwdriver and a pin.

Then proceed as follows:

1. Put the ignition key in the lock and set the steering wheel 90 degrees to one side.
2. Unscrew the hex nuts from the back of the steering wheel with the prepared key.
3. Remove the airbag module, and pull the horn flex toward you.
4. The yellow connector will be visible. Remove it from the steering wheel hub socket. To do this carefully, use a screwdriver to clamp the latch located on the connector and remove it.
5. Now put the steering wheel horizontally and pull out the ignition key.
6. Unscrew the bolt from the middle of the steering wheel, and then remove it.
7. After this, always fix the contact ring located on the airbag with a pin.
8. Then you can remove the spring that was under the steering wheel, if you want to replace it.
