How do I remove the heater heat sink?

Need to replace the heater heat sink forthe car occurs for various reasons. For example, when the antifreeze is leaking because of insufficiently strong fastening of hoses. After all, not having disassembled the motor shield, it is impossible to determine why the antifreeze flows. So let's try to figure out how to remove the radiator of the heater.

Dismantling the radiator

To get started, you should buy:

  • quality heater radiator;
  • clamps (minimum - 4 pcs);
  • a short cross-head screwdriver with tweezers;
  • a bucket with a capacity of more than 4 liters.

Remove the heater radiator through the hood, adhering to the following algorithm:

  1. Drain the antifreeze using an expansion tank or engine block (partial drain), remove the toad and its rubber seal.
  2. Unscrew the screw of the fasteners and the jabots located on iton the right, four screws of the upper fasteners. On the jabot, unhook the two yokes securing the hoses and wires, also detach the "+" terminal and the "-" fan wire from the body.
  3. Unscrew the two screws on the left of the top of the frill pieces, slightly pushing them aside. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor terminal and remove the steam hose from the reservoir.
  4. Remove the windscreen seal and windshield wipers by disconnecting the hose first. Remove the fan, including the interior filter housing.
  5. Loosen the clamps, disconnect the hoses for filing and removing the antifreeze, as well as the hose for the removal of steam.
  6. At the very end, you can remove the radiator.
