How to flash a Sony phone?

Smartphones of Sony today are prettypopular. This Japanese manufacturer produces high-quality and reliable devices, but even they sometimes need a re-flashing. If you decide to flash a Sony phone yourself, let's figure out how to do it.

Flashtool or PC Companion?

You can flash Sony smartphones withmany programs, but more popular are Flashtool and PC Companion. PC Companion is the official program for firmware Sony-devaysov, however it does not support the possibility of "rollback" to the early versions of firmware, and Flashtool supports this option. That's why in our instructions we will take this program as a basis.

Preliminary preparation

Download and install Flashtool.
Open the folder Flashtool, which now appeared on the PC, select the folder "drivers" and double-click on the file "Flashtool-drivers.exe".
In the window that appears, specify the name of the device you want to flash, and click OK.
Download the necessary firmware and put the tft-file firmware in the folder "firmwares" (located in the folder Flashtool).

Firmware Procedure

Turn off the phone, connect it to the PC.
Launch Flashtool, click on the button with the image of lightning, then select Flashmode.
In the window that appears, select the downloaded firmware, press the Flash button.
It remains only to wait for the window with the inscription "Flashing finished"!
