Many villagers try to adapt ATVs for different types of work, because this technique is analogous to mini-tractors. Install the engine and maximize reliablyfix it to the frame. For your first quadrocycle it is advisable to pick up the motor from some moped. Next, connect the shaft of our engine with the gear of the rear axle, using the chain drive. On the steering wheel we set up the mechanisms for controlling your power unit, and on the frame we fix the control levers and pedals.

Ignition and power systems must be taken fromthe same moped, where the engine came from. In the future, they can be improved with reasonable and necessary improvements. We choose a motorcycle fuel tank having a decent (large) volume. The ignition system of the ATV must be equipped with a battery without fail.

Before you make a homemade ATV,it is also necessary to decide what will be used for its rear and front axles. It should be noted that as these bridges you can use the units from cargo scooters, as well as motorcycles. They practically do not need to be altered, except for the hubs for new wheels. To make a suspension, we use spring shock absorbers of the same Japanese mopeds, for example.

Steering must be carried out using twotraction, they will ensure the rotation of the front wheels. The brake lever is connected to the transmission brake (it is normally installed on the asterisk of the rear axle "Tula-200") with the help of traction.

The exterior panels of the homemade ATV are betterall made with fiberglass. We make plasticine or wooden blanks and we stick out panels on them. We drive them to each other, we grind and cover with paint. Individual parts for the body kit can be taken from the production car. And only after that, you can install blanks.

• shock absorbers, bridge, brakes, steering rod, wheels and other parts VAZ;

Before you make a quad bike from the Urals,it is necessary to disassemble the bike itself and to alter the frame. We move the pipes of vertical seat posts by 40 mm. We weld the bridge from the Zhiguli to the pendulum of the Urals and weld it to the frame. The rear posts and fork are cut off immediately behind the pipes of the seat posts.

Next, you need struts from the tube racks, which thenwelded next to the bushings of our pendulum suspension to the vertical seat posts. To strengthen the design, you need to close the triangles, which we got, headscarves made of steel plates. Now we weld 30 mm thin-walled pipes for the front part of our frame, to which we will attach the front suspension, the front bumper and the rear trunk. A front trunk should be cooked from a pipe that has a diameter of about 20 mm.

To ensure compactness and increasemaneuverability we need to tame the rear bridge, taken from the "Zhiguli". Cut off the support cup of the spring and the brackets and pull out the end flange from the socket. Next, you need to tame the "stocking", and then return the flange to the place and weld it. For the same length, the semiaxis should be tamed, by cutting off the wheel flange. Then it is necessary to drill the axial hole and pass the rod of our semi-axis. We insert the rod into the flange and drill a blind hole at their joint. We got half the holes in each part. We hammer into this hole a key from a wire and we weld in a circle the formed joint.

We carry out the cardan shaft from the semi-axes "Oka"using the CV joints, and from the square tubes (25 * 25 * 2 mm) we make the front suspension. We take the rotary fists from the "Zhiguli". We fix the lower ends of our levers to the ball joints of the fists. The upper ends are fixed on the subframe in the eyes. Brakes are also borrowed from Zhiguli, while removing the parking brake and vacuum amplifier. But the drive is best left from the usual pedal of a motorcycle.

As for the engine, it must haveforced air cooling (we take from "VAZ 2108"). Wheels will be from "Zhiguli". They need to be equipped with tires that have an all-terrain protector. We take the steering wheel from the motorcycle, and it is better to take the columns, the bipod, wheel kulaks and links to the levers from the VAZ. We install a stop lamp, headlights and turn indicators. Do not also forget about the large wings, equipped with mudguards, which need to equip our ATV.
