How to set the ignition?

For sure, almost every novice motoristwas in a situation where the machine refuses to start after the prevention. Most people do not even notice how, when inspecting the car, they remove the ignition distributor (also known as the trampler). In fact, in order to correctly set the ignition, you must adhere to the rules, as well as a certain algorithm of action. Of course, the whole process may differ, depending on the brand and type of machine. Therefore, we will pay special attention to this issue and consider a few of the most difficult options.

How to put the ignition on the WHA

First of all, we will set the ignition on cars of the domestic brand VAZ:

First stop the engine completely.
Carefully loosen the nut that secures the ignition distributor.
Turn the ignition distributor to the desired angle.
Turn the distributor housing anti-clockwisearrows, if you want to increase the ignition timing. In order to reduce the timing of the ignition, turn the distributor clockwise.
Check the ignition timing setting. If necessary, fix it.

Remove the cover from the ignition distributor.
Next, check the gap between the breaker contacts. If there are any deviations, adjust the gap.
Gradually turn the crankshaft until the start of the compression stroke in the cylinder on the right.
Further continue slowly to turn a cranked shaft before the compatibility of a label umm on a pulley of a cranked shaft and a mark of an advancing of ignition on 5 °.
With the rotation of the rotor, ensure the direction of its outer contact in the direction of contact of the first cylinder, which is located on the distributor cover.
Fix or hold the distributor shaft. Exclude the possibility of turning.
Insert the distributor shaft into the socket on the cylinder block. The center line, which passes through the spring latches, must be parallel to the center line of the engine.
Tighten the distributor firmly to the cylinder block.
Install the distributor cap. Connect all wires.

How to set the ignition on Jupiter

Now we put the ignition on a motorcycle brand "Jupiter". This motorcycle has its own peculiarities and it is necessary to know them when setting the ignition:

On Jupiter there is an additional cylinder and one additional chopper. Hence it can be concluded that the ignition will have to be set for each cylinder separately.
The ignition should be started by adjusting the gap of the left interrupter. With the right interrupters, the same actions as for the left ones should be made.
Next, you need to install the piston in the top dead center. This procedure should be carried out while turning the crankshaft clockwise.
When rotating the crankshaft counterclockwise, the piston should be installed slightly in a different position, namely - do not bring it to the top dead center by about 2-2.8 mm.

If all listed points are clear, and also you remember them, then you can proceed to the direct setting of the ignition:

Unscrew the two candles.
Insert the dipstick and also the screwdriver.
Remove the engine cover.
Loosen the ignition cams.
Move the right cylinder to the TDC. During this procedure, drive the cam until the spark appears.
After the appearance of the spark, tighten the cam.
Repeat the whole action with the left cylinder.

How to set the ignition on the scooter

Very often people ask not only the above questions, but also the question of how to put the ignition on the scooter. In fact, this process is extremely simple:

Remove the valve cover.
Place the ignition so that the crankcase markercoincided with the mark on the ignition. Thus two holes of a gear wheel (on which the chain is put on) should be on one line together with the cylinder. The third hole must be on top.
