Simply and simultaneously it is eloquent thatis a prayer, said in the Law of God: "Prayer is a conversation with God." In prayer, a person can turn to the Lord with a request, confess sins, express gratitude, give glory. The sages believe that prayer is the realization of Eternity.

Types of prayers

In their content there are prayers of the following types

  1. Praise - the glorification of God's greatness and perfection, the exploits of the Theotokos and the PriestMartyrs.
  2. Repentance is the realization of one's sins and complete repentance in them.
  3. Grateful - an expression of gratitude to the Higher Powers for help, support, health, food, etc.
  4. The supplicants are the expression of their bodily and spiritual torments, the invocation of help.

By the way prayer is held, there are

  • mental - prayers that do not have verbal expression, a kind of mental conversation with God;
  • oral - a verbal appeal to God, as a rule, in an affirmative form.

The Power of Prayer

Prayer only then has miraculous power,when reinforced by sincere faith. Believers know that the Lord loves every person as his own son or daughter. Therefore, no one treatment is left without attention.

God is the best companion. During a frank conversation with the Lord, you can get answers to all burning questions. Prayer will indicate the righteous path by which one must walk through life.

Through prayer you can feel God'spresence, plunge into the atmosphere of kindness, reason and grace. Prayer cleanses souls, makes them more humble and kinder. If you know how to pray properly, you can find a way out of the most difficult situation and even be cured of an ailment.

It is important to turn to God with prayer not only fromdespair, but in the joyful moments of life, do not forget about gratitude to the Creator. And, asking about something of the Lord, one should not forget about the preliminary repentance.
