Where is Matron buried?
Moscow's Saint Matrona Moscow was bornin 1881 in the village of Surbino in the family of poor peasants. Matron was born blind, but from a young age began to show the gift of foresight and healing. At 18, Matrona paralyzed her legs, and she could never move again. In 1995, the healer moved to Moscow, where she treated people until the end of her life in 1952.
The place where Matron is buried - MoscowDanilovskoe cemetery (metro station "Shabolovskaya", go by the 26th tram, stop "Dukhovskaya lane"). Now on the site of her grave there is a chapel in which the Matrona is worshiped. To get to the cemetery, you should get off on the metro Shablovskaya and go by tram to the stop "Dukhovsky lane" or walk on foot from the metro station Tulskaya.
On March 8, 1998, the remains of Matrona were transported to the Intercession Monastery. Canonized as a local saint, Matrona in 1999.
