Knitting needs yarn first. Yarn for hand knitting use a variety of: natural and artificial; thin and thick; smooth and with different volume inclusions (nodules, long villi, down, feathers, etc., etc.); monophonic and multicolored; with beads strung on it, beads or paillettes; with the addition of metal filaments.
