Oil paints are characterized by oilystructure. On the one hand, these paints were used by such famous artists as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Botticelli, but they have low light fastness and are not durable.

Gouache

Gouache is a dense opaque paint,which is characterized by good resistance and differs from the aforementioned types of paints by the presence of a greater content of pigments. There are two types of gouache: poster and art. In poster gouache, the so-called kaolin is used, which gives the paint a saturation, and therefore it looks more impressive on posters and does not have a whitish coating.

Watercolor paints

Watercolor colors are the most suitablenewcomers. It is usually used in schools and kindergartens in order to teach children to draw simple drawings. Watercolors are relatively inexpensive and convenient to use: they are enough

dilute with water. With the help of watercolor paints you can create a feeling of lightness in the picture, airiness, it is good to convey the color transitions. However, watercolors have one significant drawback: they often look paler and unsaturated.

Aquagrim

The so-called aqua-grime (water-based make-up)suitable for those people who want to engage in body art. This paint keeps well on the skin, allows you to create not only beautiful patterns, but whole pictures. In this case, aqua-grime is easily washed off with ordinary water.

With respect to the price it is worth saying that the most expensiveremain acrylic and oil paints. However, the price of paint will depend on the brand.
