PlayStation 3 - one of the most popular gaming consoles in the world. Connect it to the TV yourself is pretty simple, but first you need to choose one of the available options.
AV cable
A component AV cable is used to connect the PS3 to standard TVs. In this case, it has five inputs for connection and supports the transmission of video with high definition.
To connect you need to purchase a cable(it is not included in the standard package), connect one end of it to the port called AV Multi Out, located on the PlayStation 3, and the second - to the corresponding jacks that are on the TV. Ports of audio differ in the marking R and L, video - on the marking Y, PR / CR, PB / CB.
HDMI cable
It allows you to connect the PlayStation 3 toTV, which supports a resolution of 1080 p. The connection is the same as in the way described by yours. The only difference is that in this case the PS3 connection to the TV is determined automatically.
S-Video
This type of connection does not support high-definition signal: with it, the image quality will decrease significantly. But this cable is suitable for TVs that do not support AV and HDMI.
To connect the PS3 to the TV with thiscable, connect one end to the AV Multi Out on the console, and the other end to the TV. The cable has two connectors that allow the transmission of sound, and one for image transmission.
RCA
This cable comes with the console. Unfortunately, the connection with it provides the lowest quality of signal transmission, but it is supported by almost any TV. If your TV is equipped with SCART inputs, you can purchase a SCART-RCA adapter or an AV-SCART cable. And the connection itself is done in the same way as in the case of S-Video.
