How to sew one cross?
Decided to learn how to embroider a cross? Then start with the basics and learn how to properly embroider one cross. Then it will be easier.
How to sew one cross? For work, take the canvas, needle and thread floss. If professional embroiderers can work on embroidery without a hoop, then it is better for a beginner to take the hoop and pull the canvas on them.
Before you start, pay attention to thestructure of the canvas. All of it is "dotted" with holes, and the entire canvas can be visually divided into squares, where each hole is the corner of the square. Now proceed:
- To fix the edge of the thread to the fabric, tie a small knot for convenience. Although often when embroidering finished products knots are not applied.
- Bring the needle with the thread from the wrong side to the front in one of the corners (holes) of the canvas.
- The next step is to insert the needle with the thread in the corner, which is located oblique from the first.
- From the underside, make a seam "step back" to the corner of the square parallel to the last, and pull the needle with the thread on the front side.
- Again, "step" the needle along the oblique line, but already to the opposite corner from the last one. And then you'll notice that the last thread lies in the cross with respect to the first thread.
That's how the first cross turns out.
