The most common intellectual game in theToday is the Rubik's cube. Every year more and more new versions of this popular game are being developed. These are numerous snakes, balls and pyramids. They allow not only to develop logical thinking, but also to kill time, doing interesting things.

The pyramid has four surfaces. The main goal of the task is to collect all the parts of the same color on each side. Just like in a cube, you can move faces in a pyramid, thereby achieving the desired result. However, instead of cubes, there are tetrahedra, which in the end constitute a large tetrahedron. However, the algorithm for assembling the tetrahedron differs markedly from the cube harvesting scheme. Fourteen identical elements are able to rotate along the axis, but not at a right angle, as was the case with the cube.

Turning to history, we will see that in 1972German Uwe Meffet has developed a toy similar to Rubik's cube, from which it turned out the game to collect a pyramid with different colors. The inventor created several varieties of the puzzle. During the game, he realized that the pyramid calms and removes any stress. However, after a while, interest in this toy from Meffet evaporated and he forgot about its existence. A few years later, after the world had successfully sold Rubik's cubes successfully, Meffet recalled the invention and patented it promptly. Consider the instruction how to assemble the Rubik's pyramid.

First of all, you need to decide on the color,which will be collected first, and determine from which side of the tetrahedron it will be. To do this, it is enough to place a finger on the corner of the pyramid in the side in which all the parts with this shade will be located. Then two more fingers are put on the corners of this side.

Thus, the first part of the assembly processtetrahedron is the construction of the face of the pyramid. Also, do not pay attention to the fact that building one face, you are destroying others. All the vertices must be deployed in places so that the colors of each side necessarily coincide with the color of the corresponding middle element. Thus, on each side are formed near the top of the diamond, which consist of two triangles, made in a single color.

Now we need to ensure that on onea predetermined face, there were already three triangles. To make it easier, one can proceed from the fact that the color of the face, which will have the same color, will first remove all its colors from the opposite side.

The second stage in the collection of the pyramid will be the arrangement of monochrome tetrahedra on the remaining faces. To do this, perform some auxiliary operations.

  • the translation of the element from the edge to the vertex, thereby not breaking the structure of the diamonds of the previous operations;
  • The approach to the original position of the edge element near the vertex with the construction of diamonds near the other vertex of the second color.

The last stage is the construction of the basethe pyramids. It is performed by analogy. The figure, called the Rubik's pyramid, allows the construction of similar symmetrical patterns on its faces, as well as a cube. However, here the possibilities are very limited. Now, after you have learned how to assemble the pyramid, you can kill time, taking up an interesting intellectual occupation.
