How to make shuriken from paper?

Shuriken is an ancient ninja weapon that theyquietly killed their enemies, and translation from Japanese means "blade hidden in the hands." Ancient warriors used it as a throwing weapon, and along with the sword they were successfully used in battles.

Today shurikens are available, and they can be purchased as a souvenir or try to make yourself with paper. Even made of paper, when hit, they can leave a palpable impression.

In the art of origami, the shuriken model is consideredclassical. Externally shuriken looks like an asterisk, and apparently its beautiful shape is very attractive to children who like to play with paper fakes. Throwing it, you can compete in the range of its flight or watch as it flies away from the impact of a finger from the folded fist. It is not difficult to make it, and after making a shuriken for your child, you can then play along with it.

How to make shuriken from paper: instruction

Shuriken is made from square sheets of paper.

To get a beautiful two-tone "star", you can use two sheets of paper, the size of the same, but different in color.

  1. Take the first sheet and fold it in half, we get a rectangle. We unfold it. The upper and lower corners are bent inward towards the fold line. Fold the sheet again in half.
  2. We take the upper left corner and bend down to the bottom of the rectangle. The same is done with the right upper corner, but bend up.
  3. We bend the corners symmetrically to each other: left up, and right down. We got 2 triangles, deployed in opposite directions.
  4. The second sheet of paper is folded in the same way, only to bend the corners is necessary opposite to the directions of the already manufactured model. We have a symmetrical, mirrored 2 parts of the future "star".
  5. Next, you need to combine both parts, overlapping each other. Then insert the corners of the first part into the second pocket. Flip shuriken, insert the corners of the second part into the pockets of the first.

Our "star" is ready. Of course, this is not a ninja combat weapon, but your children will be happy to play with it.
