How to add a font to Word?
The vast majority of PC users workin the operating system of Microsoft, in which the most popular and in demand among text editors is Microsoft Office Word. Despite its great potential in creating text documents, over time, there is a need to add new features and give an individual style to their work. One of these additions is the use of new, original fonts.
Immediately it is worth noting that the addition of new fonts does not occur in any particular software product (text or graphics editor), but in the system in general.
How to add a font to Word
- Download new fonts. They are freely available as a piece, and collected in the archive. For example, a large database of fonts, divided by category, is on the site Fonts.by. It is important to note the following point: not all fonts support Cyrillic, which means,
that the Russian letters will not be reflected in any waychange the font. Therefore, either immediately look for fonts with Cyrillic support, or be prepared that the new font will only make changes to numbers and foreign letters. - Open the control panel.
- Select the "Fonts" section. If you have a control panel of the type "By Category", then select the "Appearance and Themes" tab, and from there select the "Fonts" section.
- In the open folder "Fonts", transfer the downloaded fonts, previously unzipping them, if downloaded in the archive.
