When working with Microsoft Windows it always remainsThe probability that a new device (driver) or program conflicts with the rest of the system. In this case, there is nothing left but to start the computer in safe mode and fix the problem. It is not difficult to do this.

Safe Mode

The main indications for safe usemode is the impossibility of loading in the standard mode. Most often this happens after installing additional software, hardware or its incorrect configuration. Errors in determining the necessary drivers can also lead to the inoperability of the entire system.

When you load the same into Safe Mode, the OS will useonly the most necessary devices (mouse, keyboard, etc.) and services. This allows you to find the cause of the conflict and eliminate it. For example, the TV tuner drivers were replaced, and Windows refused to boot after restarting. In this case, in the safe mode, new drivers must be replaced or deleted.

Sign in to Safe Mode

Entering the safe mode is easy. For this:

  1. turn on / restart the computer;
  2. When the manufacturer's motherboard logo appears on the screen, press (hold) the "F8" key on the keyboard;
  3. In the resulting menu, select the line "Safe Mode" (Safe Mode);
  4. press the "Enter" button.

Such an algorithm is suitable only ifone operating system is installed on the computer. If there are several of them, initially it is necessary to select the system with which there are problems, and after that press the "F8" key and enter the safe mode.

In some cases, to fix the problemyou need to connect to the Internet. For this, there is another safe mode configuration, namely "Safe Mode with Network Drivers". Running this configuration, you can enter the Internet and prove the necessary components (drivers). It should be borne in mind that the safe mode with the download of network drivers implies the confidence in the operation of the network drivers themselves, that is, the problem is not caused by them.
