Reinstalling the operating system sometimesthe computer starts to work incorrectly. The non-responsive WiFi adapter, the minimum screen resolution and the interruption of audio during playback are the main indicators of incorrect driver installation or the absence of some of them.

A similar problem can also be encountered whenreplacement of a particular part, which makes one think about its malfunction. However, the situation is solved quite simply. It's enough just to find out what drivers are needed and install them. There are several ways to do this.

Windows Device Manager

To confirm or deny the version withfaulty drivers need to refer to the list of all devices that are connected to this computer. This will help Windows Device Manager, a utility available in every operating system from Microsoft. To open it you need:

  1. on the desktop, move the cursor to the computer icon;
  2. press the right mouse button;
  3. in the expanded menu select the item "Properties";
  4. go to the link "Device Manager" (top left).

In the appeared window the list of all devices is given,how correctly working, and is not present. Near the defective will stand a picture with a yellow exclamation point. In this case, the system may not even know the type of device, but this is not necessary. To restore functionality, it's enough to write down its name and find the necessary drivers for it (or for them) on the Internet.

DriverPack Solution

Finding the driver you need for this or thatdevices on the Internet can be delayed, or even completely end in nothing. In some cases after installation of the downloaded driver the device like and starts to work, but often makes mistakes.

Therefore, it is much easier and safer to install the DriverPack Solution program and then communicate with drivers only through it. You can download it free of charge here.

In addition to searching and installing not directlyworking drivers it can check and have already installed. If they are out of date or work incorrectly (which may not be reflected in the Device Manager), the utility will prompt you to replace them with new ones. To find and install the necessary drivers with DriverPack Solution you need:

  1. run the program;
  2. put the bird near the point "Expert mode";
  3. below select the item "Installing drivers" (may be by default);
  4. on the program desktop go to the tab "Drivers";
  5. in the "Uninstalled drivers" section, put the bird in front of the problem device;
  6. click on the "Install" button.

The program will automatically download and installthe right driver from the database. In parallel, in the "Updates for drivers" section, you can label those devices for which there are more suitable driver versions. In most cases, this will improve system performance.

If you install the drivers on your computerwithout an Internet connection, then on the site of the program you can create a special assembly. It will include updates only for those devices that need it.
