Often black-and-white photographs begin to acquirebrown coating. This is because when developing in the 20th century, some kind of paint, called sepia, was used. It has a brownish tinge. Over time, black and white photographs changed color, but the craving for antiquity remained. Someone now calls such photos vintage, and someone just sepia. Let's try to apply this effect on a color image.

If you decide to turn a photo into an old photo, then you can use the Photoshop program. How in Photoshop do sepia and not put a lot of effort? Very simple.

  1. Download the image you want to change in Photoshop. To do this, click on "Open" and find the image on your computer.
  2. Then we open the "Image" tab, then the tab "Adjustments" (Adjustments), then click "Hue / Saturation". You can use a simpler option - Ctrl + U. Simply squeeze these keys together, and a window appears in front of you.
  3. Further in the appeared window we will see 3 categories- Hue, Saturation, Lightness. We put these numbers in the order of these inscriptions: 35, 25, 0. Then put a tick in the box where it says Coloring. Sepia allegedly pours a photograph of the brown paint.
  4. Click Ok. So our picture is ready in sepia. If desired, you can change the brightness, saturation, tone settings to lighter or darker hues. That's the effect of sepia in Photoshop ready. Pleasant experimentation.
