The city of Orenburg occupies the 29th place amongRussian cities, and its area is 123.7 thousand square meters. km. Orenburg belongs to the administrative center of the Orenburg region and is located clearly on the Southern Urals on the famous Ural river. Almost half of the land in this locality is occupied by arable land and fodder land, the poet is considered one of the best agricultural cities in Russia.

Travel to Orenburg

There are three ways with which you can get to Orenburg from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities of the country.

  • Railway. Thanks to trains and the whole railway this mode of transport is the leader in the transportation of passengers. Therefore, from Moscow to Orenburg, you can get six different flights of trains. All of them are sent from the Kazan station. In addition to regular flights from Moscow, there are also passing trains that run at intervals of no more than 2-4 hours. The distance between these cities by rail is 1462 km, and the time of its overcoming ranges from 25 to 30 hours. From St. Petersburg to Orenburg follows only one flight in two days (departure from the Moscow railway station), the duration of the trip at the same time is about 48 hours.
  • Air transport. One of the main airports of Moscow is Domodedovo airport, from which planes regularly fly to Orenburg and arrive to the International airport of the city. The distance along the overhead line is 1250 km, and the flight duration is no more than 2 hours.
  • Motor transport. The distance from the motorways from Moscow to Orenburg is 1,441 km. The movement takes place on the highway M5. Traveling by own car takes up to 25 hours. By bus this time can stretch already up to 30 hours. But from St. Petersburg will have to spend on the bus 38-40 hours, after traveling first along the M10 to Moscow and the rest of the route - on the highway M5. The length of the route will be 2185 km.
