How to get to Gagry?

Gagra is famous for its beautiful views, wonderful lakes and mineral springs. A large number of tourists come here every year. The main question that arises with travelers is how to get to this picturesque town.

The airport in Abkhazia does not work at the moment. So, the easiest way here will not work. There are several options for how to get to Gagra.

By Train

The train Moscow - Sukhumi (Sukhumi) stops in Gagra, which makes this route the most convenient, however it is also the most expensive. The ticket price starts from 3000 rubles.

The train departs from the Kursk railway station.

There is another option to take the train to Adler. Further we plan the second part of the route Adler-Gagry. How to get directly to the resort? From the station Adler you need to find a minibus that will go to the station "Cossack market". Going out at the desired station, change to any bus with the inscription "Gagra". The bus goes less than 30 minutes. In total, the journey will have to spend 30-40 hours.

By bus

On the route Moscow-Sukhum (Sukhumi). The cost starts from 2500 r. The journey will have to spend about 30 hours. Dispatched from the metro station "Krasnogvardeyskaya" on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

By airplane

You can fly to Adler by plane and then take the bus to your destination

(see above). This option is often cheaper than a train.

By car

You can get to the resort by car. True, there can be a big queue at the border point of Abkhazia.

By sea

From Sochi to Gagra you can get to the seacatamaran. The trip will last about an hour and a half and will cost 500-600 rubles. Using this type of transport, you at the same time will visit a sea voyage.
